More than 200 Chinese students and scholars will come to the University of Washington this fall. With the Beijing Olympics around the corner, what better way to learn about this fascinating country than to make a new friend from China!

FIUTS hosts welcome new UW international students into their homes for their first week in Seattle, and forms bonds of friendship and goodwill that last a lifetime.

Become a FIUTS Facilitator for Orientation

FIUTS is looking for UW students to help greet new international students for the summer and fall quarters. Facilitators lead tours, answer questions, and help with the international student orientation.

Become a facilitator today and register with VolunteerHUB the online volunteer registration used by FIUTS to list volunteer position descriptions and available shifts.

Fall Orientation T-Shirt Design Contest

Each Fall FIUTS Facilitators receive T-shirts for their volunteer hours - and that T-shirt is designed by talented student artists in our community. Submit your design, and if it wins, it will be worn by over a hundred FIUTS volunteers!

The only requirement is that is has the FIUTS logo and relates to the mission of FIUTS to inspire global understanding. Otherwise, let your creative juices flow! ISIC Cards Now Available at the FIUTS Office
Traveling over the summer? Studying abroad this fall? The ISIC (International Student Identity Card) card is a great way to save money and is the only internationally accepted student ID card - and FIUTS is the only vender of ISIC Cards on the UW campus!

ISIC cards offer travel discounts to students ranging from airfare and train reductions to museum and hostel discounts.
