FIUTS connects university students with local and global communities through programs that build international awareness, cross-cultural communication, and informed leadership.
Make a connection that lasts a lifetime
This fall, new international students from China, Turkey, Italy and many other countries around the world will arrive at the University of Washington, and the FIUTS Homestay Program places them in the homes of volunteer hosts for their first week in the Northwest. FIUTS hosts meet students at the airport, support them during the transition period and serve as their initial introduction to American culture and life in Seattle.

Paul-Christian Britz loves stories. Loves to read them. Loves to tell them. And as a passionate photographer he loves to shoot them. Britz is a graduate student from Germany studying English at the UW. Britz sat down with us and shared his impressions of Seattle and FIUTS, his knowledge of all things German, and his recent trip to Mexico. Read more of Paul's Q&A |
